“Top-up” Funding

There is “Top-up” funding available for SEND pupils where an application process is taken through the school according to exceptional need.

This funding may be allocated to help towards equipment, resources, training for staff, specialist advice and support or some direct adult support for an individual or group of pupils with the same need.

Our local offer

What St Martha’s Catholic Primary School can offer you and your child.

Someone to talk to; you can always speak to your child’s class teacher, SENDCo or the Headteacher about any concerns you may have.

Special Educational Needs:

'A child or young person has SEN if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special educational provision to be made for him or her.' (CoP, 2015)

Disabilities:

'Many children and young people who have SEN may have a disability under the Equality Act 2010 – that is ‘…a physical or mental impairment which has a long-term and substantial adverse effect on their ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities’' (CoP, 2015)
